It has been a year. Well, it’s been two years. Life has been rough for me and my family the past couple years.

I only share this as a way of explaining the massive gaps in updates here. I don’t really find a lot of time to put updates online about the work I’ve done, and part of that is because I spend a lot of very small bursts of time on this project in the wee hours of the morning or the darkest hours of night. I have kids to raise and a full-time job, after all!

So what’s going on?

Back in may I announced that I’d written all of the copy. And that’s true! In the intervening time, I’ve been fleshing out the project with extra goodies:

• a single page Mausritter character sheet, inspired by the inimitable chaoclypse’s Pocket SCVM
• A sleek encounter roll table meant to inspire and advise the GM, not prescribe what happens
• a whole other adventure

Wait, what?!

Yeah, well, you see, what had happened was. . .well, there’s a Mausritter game jam going on RIGHT NOW! My wife and I are participating, making a new adventure tentatively titled “Stone Kingdom”. So, for now, I’m putting The Foxhole on a sort of pause, just until the end of this jam.

The goal here is to use this jam as a way to practice the skills that we inevitably need to build in order to finish out Foxhole.

Once I get an itch page up for this new adventure, I’ll be sure to post here.

Well, that’s neat, but. . .

Well, hold on, I didn’t get to the best part of talking about this new adventure! Now, I don’t know how to do this, because I have basically zero experience using itch as a proper publishing platform, but I want to offer all purchasers of the Foxhole access to the new adventure for free, and vice versa until the final release of Foxhole.

So, if you purchase The Foxhole now (at the pre-release price of $2) or purchase the new adventure (For the $2 I intend to charge), you get both for that price.

That ends when I release The Foxhole, though I may still see about giving away Stone Kingdom with The Foxhole.
